I've been making mixing, whipping, frosting, baking, and most certainly tasting cakes with my mother since I was a young child in her California kitchen.
I acquired her dessert-making touch after so many years of receiving her precious advice and learning to distinguish good desserts from great ones. Her number one priority : Start with the best possible ingredients.
My mom created a reputation for herself in our San Francisco area community for being an incredible baker. For me, it was magical to watch her cakes being devoured by those who appreciated them. Baking was clearly my mother's way of touching others' lives.
As I follow in her footsteps, I am proud to share my love of baking with others. I have created many of my own recipes to add to what my mom started hoping to continue a family tradition. I find baking allows me to reach for my California roots. It also allows me to create sweet new links between my California childhood and my own family in Brussels. I hope my desserts inspire you ... sweetly!
Eat dessert first because you can and because life is too short to do anything else!

"Everybody enjoyed the cakes. They were DE-LI-CIOUS, as usual! The chocolate chip cookies were gone in one second! I should have ordered more! They are a real treat!"
Ariane - Watermael-Boitsfort
"We want more chocolate chip cookies!"

Christine - Kraainem
"But the cherry on the top of the cake was the dessert. Created by Laura, another American, her little treats were divine. I decided to try the little cookie with pecans (Mexican Wedding Cookies) and a little lemon cake (Lemon Bars) that was absolutely...divine."
